Description of Acquisition: |  | (Region 7 START - 4) The contractor will provide nationally consistent advisory and assistance services to the U.S.EPA On-Scene Coordinators and other federal officials implementing EPA responsibilities under the national response system. The national response system is the principle federal mechanism for responding to release of hazardous substances and oil, utilizing a multi-layered network of individuals and teams for federal, state and local agencies, and industry. These are primarily time-critical activities. The contractor provides scientific/technical support for EPA activities in the furtherance of the agency's primary mission: the protection of human health and the environment. The contractor also provides advisory and assistance services to other programs, such as site assessment, Brownfield, and remedial support activities |
