This report presents an analysis of cancer risks in the United States from outdoor exposures to airborne toxic pollutions. It is intended to provide updated information to suggest priorities for air toxics control.
This analysis is based primarily on information derived from recent studies and reports. Results are expressed as cancer risk from individual pollutants and source categories in terms of excess lifetime individual cancer risks and nationwide annual cancer cases.
