As part of the Pentachlorophenol (PCP) Reregistration Eligibility Decision (RED) Document prepared by the U.S. EPA, the Occupational Exposure Chapter presented herein focuses on the contribution of the dioxin/furan microcontaminants contained in PCP (i.e., the polyhalogenated dibenzo-p-dioxins/dibenzofurans (CDDs/CDFs) to the overall cancer risks attributed to use of PCP wood preservative products.
