This report presents an economic analysis of alternative regulatory options to establish work practice standards, plus training and certification requirements, for persons engaged in renovation activities for compensation in housing units containing lead-based paint. These requirements apply to contractors who renovate, remodel and/or paint housing units where there is lead-based paint, as well as to residential building owners and managers who may perform these activities themselves or have their staff do so.
