A proposed rule for the regulation of emissions of organic hazardous air pollutant (HAP) and the following Group IV polymers and resins: acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) resin, styrene acrylonitrile (SAN) resin, methyl methacrylate acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (MABS) resin, methyl methacrylate butadiene styrene (MBS) resin, polystyrene resin, poly(ethylene terephtalate) (PET) resin, and nitrile resin. This thermoplastics rule is being proposed under the authority of Sections 112, 114, 116, and 301 of the Clean Air Act, as amended in 1990. This Supplementary Information Document contains memoranda providing rationale and information used in developing the proposed standards. Estimates cost, emission reduction, and energy impacts associated with the application of controls associated with the proposed rule.
