Phase IV Revised Occupational and Residential Exposure Assessment and Recommendations for the Reregistration Eligibility Decision (RED) for Ethylene Oxide.
Ethylene oxide is used to sterilize medical or laboratory items, pharmaceuticals, and aseptic packaging, or to reduce microbial load on cosmetics, library articles, whole and ground spices, and other seasoning materials. Additionally, special local need registration (North Caroline and Maine) are currently in place for the treatment of beehives/beekeeping equipment.
