National Emission Standards For Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) For The Printing And Publishing Industry---Background Information For Promulgated Standards.
A rule regulating hazardous air pollutant emissions from the printing and publishing industry has been promulgated under the authority of sections 101, 112, 114, 116, 183(f), and 301 of the Clean Air Act, as amended in 1990. The types of printing covered in this rule are publication rotogravure, product and packaging rotogravure and wide-web flexography. This document presents background information for the promulgated rule including changes made to the rule since proposal, a summary of public comments received and EPA's response to those comments and a summary of the national impacts of the rule.
