This document identifies technologies that might be used by community water systems in achieving compliance with the National Primary Drinking Water Regulations. The technologies available to a community searching for the most economical and effective means to comply with the chromium Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) include modification of existing treatment systems, installation of new systems and may include the selection of other water sources, such as bottled water or alternate raw water sources.
