Amitraz is an insecticide/acaricide that is being re-evaluated as part of the tolerance reassessment eligibility decision (TRED). There are registered uses on beef and dairy cattle, and hogs for tick, mite and lice management. Amitraz can be applied via dip or low pressure hand spray for cattle and swine. Amitraz is also used in dog collars for tick control.
