Azoxystrobin is a broad-spectrum fungicide and belongs to a class of pesticidal compounds called b-methoxyacrylates, which are derived from the naturally occurring strobilurins. Its biochemical mode of action is inhibition of electron transport. The fungicide is currently registered for use on a variety of field, vegetable, fruit, and nut crops as well as ornamental plants and turf.
