This document addresses the risks and benefits associated with the continued use of alachlor. The benefit analysis describes the benefits which would be foregone to users and others affected if alachlor were cancelled for use on each of its registered use sites. This provides a baseline estimate of the value of alachlor as currently used and registered to the agricultural community. It also provides a worst case assessment of the economic impact if all the alachlor uses were to switch to alternative pest control measures as a result of the proposed regulatory action.
