Engineering and Cost Study of the Ferroalloy Industry.
The report includes a number of studies of several ferroalloy plants and provides information of the following aspects of the industry: 1) Atmospheric emissions from production of ferroalloys and calcium carbide; 2) Methods and equipment used to limit these emissions; 3) Cost and economic impact of air pollution controls; 4) Industry characteristics such as growth rate, raw materials, processes, consumer products, and number and location of producers. Most of the information herein was gathered from industry questionnaires and EPA source tests.
