Economic Impact and Small Business Analysis for the Standards of Performance for Stationary Spark Ignition Internal Combustion Engines and NESHAP for Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engines.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is proposing a new source performance standards that would apply to new stationary spark ignition (SI) internal combustion engines (ICE). New source performance standards implement section 111(b) of the Clean Air Act (CAA) and are issued for categories of sources that cause, or contribute significantly to, air pollution that may reasonably be anticipated to endanger public health or welfare. The standards apply to new stationary sources of emissions (i.e., sources whose construction, reconstruction, or modification begins after a standard for those sources is proposed).
