The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is developing regulations under Section 111 of the Clean Air Act (CAA) for new electric utiliy steam generating units, industrial-commercial-institutional steam generating units, and small industrial-commercial-institutional steam generating units. The Innovative Strategies and Economics Group of EPA's Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards has developed an economic impact analysis to estimate the potential social costs of the regulation.
