Review Of Data On The Impact Of New Source Review On Investment Decisions--Power Generation And Refinery Sectors, Draft Report.
The Report of the National Energy Policy Development (NEPD) Group, issues in May 2001, recommends the preparation of a review of the impact of the New Source Review (NSR) program on energy investment and supply, energy efficiency, and environmental protection. In May 2001, a team of Federal agencies, EPA, and the White House was formed to prepare a report in response to the directive. The sectors of focus are the power generation and refinery sectors.
The purpose of this report is to obtain and summarize data from relevant studies or articles on topics related to NSR and investment in the power and refinery sectors, as well as provide and summarize available data for EPA's use in preparing the main report. The data presented in this report will be reviewed by the Clean Air Act Advisory Committee (CAAAC) and the public during meetings in the summer of 2001.
