Alternative Control Technology Document--Ethylene Oxide Sterilization/Fumigation Operations.
powered by
This document contains the data and methodology which EPA believes most accurately describes alternative control technologies for ethylene oxide emissions from sterilization facilities. The purpose of this document is to provide states with information they can use to identify control measures that will reduce emissions of VOCs (i.e., ethylene oxide) from sterilization/fumigation facilities as part of their state implementation plans for attainment of ozone NAAQS.
EPA also listed ethylene oxide as a hazardous air pollutant and promulgated a NESHAP for it in 1994. See A.94.53.
