The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has finalized Clean Water Act effluent limitations guidelines and new source performance standards for aquatic animal production facilities. The regulation establishes for the first time technology-based effluent guidelines for wastewater discharges from new and existing aquatic animal production facilities that discharge directly to U.S. waters.
