Lime Manufacturing Plants--Background Information For Promulgated Standards, Economic Impact Statement.
Standards of performance for the control of particulate matter emissions from rotary lime kilns at new, modified, or reconstructed lime manufacturing plants are being promulgated under the authority of Sections 111, 114, and 301(a) of the Clean Air Act, as amended. These standards would apply to those affected facilities that commence construction on or after May 3, 1977, the date of original proposal.
This rule was originally promulgated on May 3, 1977, but was remanded by the Court of Appeals. This document contains a summary of the public comments on the proposed revised standards and the EPA's responses, as well as summary economic and environmental impact statements. The environmental and economic impact analyses did not change from the original proposed rule. See A.77.6 A.
