One of NCEE's responsibilities is to promote and advance the field of environmental economics, including its full range of sub-disciplines. To support this work, NCEE uses grants or cooperative agreements awarded to qualified parties outside EPA, as funds are available and when the activities are primarily for the benefit of the public.

NCEE, sometimes in partnership with the EPA Office of Research and Development (ORD) and/or the National Science Foundation (NSF), awards grants on a variety of topics, including Benefits Analysis, Cost-Benefit/Cost-Effectiveness Analysis, Cost and Economic Impacts Analyses, Economic Incentives, and other topics. Each page in this database contains information about a successful proposal that involves environmental economics. Please use the "Quick Links" in the upper right to browse this database: the links denote how records will be sorted, though the individual records are consistently displayed regardless of sorting.

For more information on grants in environmental economics, before it was transferred to NCEE in 2008, ORD administered the Economics and Decision Sciences grant program. For additional information on research completed before 1998, please see Introduction to Environmental Economics Research at EPA.
