This report evaluates the economic impacts of the proposed NESHAP for melting furnace; scrap preheating; pouring, cooling and shakeout (PCS); mold and core coating; and mold and core making operations at iron foundries. The social costs of the rule are estimated by incorporating the expected costs of compliance to a partial equilibrium model of the U.S. iron and steel industry and projecting the market impacts for iron and steel castings and related products.
